This kit includes one Dakota Alert WHT-3000 and one Dakota Alert WR-3000. The WHT-3000 is a rubber hose driveway sensor and the WR-3000 is the standard stationary receiver for all Dakota Alert 3000 products.
Dakota Alert WRH-3000

  • Less expensive than magnetic probe systems.



Pros:

  • Magnetic probe driveway sensor only detects moving metal
  • Never have false alarms from animals, birds etc.
  • Unit can be buried and hidden, leaving your property looking perfect.

Pros:

  • Rubber hose sensor only alerts when something heavy travels over it.
  • The least expensive driveway sensor type.
  • Quick and easy to install.

Cons:

  • False alarms from large animals, birds etc.
  • Sensor has to be above ground and pointed across driveway.

Cons:

  • Slightly more expensive than infrared sensors.
  • Probe should be buried with wire running back to the wireless transmitter.

Cons:

  • Does not work well in snow.
  • Hose has to be across the top of the driveway.
  • The rubber eventually breaks down from weather.
